Disassembling Grapefruit

Inasmuch as it's the official fruit of the Plain Food Institute, we'd like to show you how we peel and section a grapefruit.  You'll need a nice sharp knife with a thin blade, like a boning knife.  Starting at the top spiral cut away the peel till you get to the bottom.  Better to cut a little deeper to get all the rind.

Core the grapefruit.

Cut along one septum and fan out the sections.  If you're hungry, you're done.  If not and you're especially compulsive, pull out all the membranes between sections.  A pro can do all of that in under 30 seconds.  Go practice!
