Every year we look for the most
compact, economical, and easy-to-assemble m'shloach manos pkg.
This year it's "rozshenkis mit mandln," the title of a familiar Yiddish lullaby.
As usual, the container determines the quantity and type of
contents. We've selected two SS5 Solo single serving containers
with lids, each filled with 1.5 oz. of raisins and almonds. Use a
digital postal, food, or lab scale to insure accurate portion
control.
Make a cute label to fit the container using your favorite graphic
program (Adobe Illustrator or similar). Use rubber glue to stick
it to the bottom of one container, which has been taped clamshell-style to the second container
below...and you're all set to go.
Throw a bunch into a grocery store plastic bag, or put a few in your
purse or pocket to pass out if surprised by a pkg given to you by
someone not on your list. It's small, compact, unbreakable,
unspillable, and best of all...the un-passed-out pkg's can be
disassembled and the contents returned to your pantry. Of course,
it's not fancy...but it's
cute.
