2015 Model M'shloach Manos
Every year we try to feature a form of m'shloah
manos that exemplifies economy in every sense. These little
beauties are barely 3" square, and a few will easily fit in pocket or
purse for emergency distribution. What you want are 1) food items
requiring two brochos, 2) compact and indestructible, and 3) not needing
refrigeration or special handling.
The base is a Southern Elegance #82938 3" Square
Silver (plastic) Plate with a measured 1.75 " receptacle...about a dime each. Bake a batch of
Duncan Hines pareve brownies spread thin to finish about 1/4" thick,
then cut into 1.75' squares. Buy a couple of boxes of Dots with
mixed colors - red, orange, green, yellow.
Assemble by placing brownie on plate, then select 4
Dots to place on top. Mix and match the colors to arrange in a
variety of patterns.
We've made a quickie stand to wrap with a piece of food film. Wrap
tight to keep the Dots in place...in each direction...first one, and then the
other.
Then apply kiddie paste to the back of a label and stick on the back to cover the bunched up food film.
And, there's your m'shoach manos - mazonos + sh'ha'col!
